Orion Tripodis

Founder & President

Impassioned by politics from a young age, Orion began volunteering on political campaigns at seven years old, participating as a phonebanker and canvasser in the 2010 California gubernatorial election. Eager to begin his political career, he enrolled at Ventura College at 15 to study Political Science.

At 16, he realized he would be three days too young to vote in the 2020 election. Orion turned his disappointment into action by working on campaigns full-time. His dedication and leadership earned him the position of Fellowship Director of the Ventura County Democratic Party, where he built the program from the ground up to over 25 fellows.

Shortly after turning 18, Tripodis made history as one of the youngest Assembly District Elected Members (ADEMs) ever elected to the California Democratic Party. He then served as Vice Chair of the Ventura County Democratic Party, chairing all field operations. Orion oversaw outreach to over 200,000 voters across 14 contested races, coordinating national, state, and local efforts to execute a grassroots, data-driven strategy, leading 12 candidates to victory.

At 19, Tripodis became the Campaign Manager for David Newman’s Thousand Oaks City Council campaign, leading it to a decisive victory. His success continued as he served as a consultant and senior strategist for various county-wide campaigns, including several Board of Supervisors races, and helped lead other first-time candidates seeking county office to victory.

Since then, Orion has been finishing his educational career at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2024, he co-founded Castillo Tripodis Consulting and now serves as its President. Here at CTC, Orion is committed to creating pathways for young activists to get involved and is leading the charge to develop infrastructure to usher in a new generation of leaders.
